English: During this half term, our quality text will be 'Violent Volcanoes', written by Anita Ganeri and illustrated by Mike Phillips. Throughout this unit, we will be learning how to write a nonchronological report to support our Geography learning about volcanoes and develop our non-fiction writing skills. We will also be using our knowledge of how to use descriptive language to write our own shape poem about a volcano erupting. The children will continue to practise and write using cursive script, focussing on how to form each letter accurately and consistently.
Science: In our Science lessons, we will complete our unit of work on Animals including Humans. This will include looking at different types and amounts of nutrition and identifying that humans have skeletons and muscles for support, protection and movement.
