Spring 1 – ‘On Safari’ Curriculum Menu In Year 1, we believe that homework should consolidate the learning that has taken place in school and engage the children in sharing this new knowledge with their families. As part of our homework offer, to support with this, please choose and complete at least 6 activities from the grid over the course of the half-term. Homework can be recorded in the homework book or brought into school in any other form (photos, posters etc). We can’t wait to see your work!
Animal Activity As we are learning about classifying animals in Science, can you create a fact file about your favourite animal? Try to include its habitat, diet and any interesting facts you may find.
Number Fun! Write the numbers 1-20 in numbers and words, e.g. one, two, three etc. You can use whatever media you like, chalk, paint, pens, paper! Can you count to 20 forwards and backwards?
Letter writing This term we will be writing letters, just like in the story Meerkat Mail! Can you write a letter at home? It could be to your teacher or a family member about anything you’ve done.
