This week has been filled with exciting events and activities in school as well as being blessed with sunshine. Our year 5’s experienced life in a ‘Victorian’ school for the day on Monday as part of their topic, they all looked amazing in their costumes. The year 4 shows were excellent and we thank all those that attended and enjoyed. Well done to the children and teachers for all their hard work on this. On Tuesday, our year 2 cricketers took part in an afternoon at Fleetwood Hesketh and showcased some excellent skills. On Thursday DJ P led the young voices legacy disco with the year 5 staff. It was great to look back on the event and enjoy an exciting disco. Thursday was also our KS2 cross country event where the children showed great determination in the event. Well done all.

I hope you all have an enjoyable half term break and safely enjoy the expected lovely weather.

Year 5 – Victorian Day

On Monday, Year 5 travelled back in time to the Victorian era, where they experienced what life was like within a Victorian classroom. From canes, dunce’s caps and lessons in reading, writing and arithmetic, the children’s school day was unlike their usual experiences of school. Despite the miserable facial expressions, the children had an absolutely amazing day dressed in their Victorian outfits!
