This week has seen a range of fun and exciting things going on in school. Our summer fair was a real success last night and we really appreciate all the support given to school. Thank you to our PTA for organising this.
On Wednesday, Mrs Shawcroft and our school council attended the school council celebration at Birkdale High School, they spoke eloquently about all they have contributed to Churchtown over the year. Year 3 had their show this week which was a real hit with the children performing. They performed with great confidence and pride in their hard work. Thank you to all who attended. Our year 6 children experienced a day at their high school this week and I’m sure they are already excited about starting in September.
A letter will be sent home with your children tonight about their new classes, it details transition arrangements and further details about staffing for September.
Have a great weekend – Mr Swindells.

This half term, the value that Churchtown is developing is Growth & Development. At the end of the half term, value champions will be nominated for each class.

We have accumulated a vast amount of clothing, coats and bags over the last couple of weeks and so far, none of it has been claimed
Over the next 2 weeks we will have lost property in the playground, after school, for you to look through should your child have something missing. Any items that have not been claimed by the end of the summer term will be donated to the Compassion Acts Uniform Hub.
Our School Eco Club Champions would like to thank everyone for collecting bottle tops! Please continue to keep this going!
They cannot wait to make the Bottle Top Art in the next academic year!
SCHOOL UNIFORM DONATIONS
Following on from their league title success earlier in the season, Churchtown emerged victorious once again as they lifted the ‘Laurie Parr Trophy’, after defeating Norwood in the final. The boys showed incredible determination, passion and teamwork as they lifted their second trophy of the year – well done!
As our Year 6 children will shortly be moving on to their High Schools we would greatly welcome any donations of uniform into school that is no longer needed
Your support with this request will be greatly received.
