We are coming towards the end of the first half of the summer term, with one week left. The PTA are raising money for the school on the last day of half term, Friday 26th May with a PTA Mufti day. Children can wear their own clothes for a £1 donation. The money that the PTA raise is used to supplement the year groups educational visit for every child in the school so that the cost to families is less. This is a fantastic use of the money raised and we would like to continue this next year, however this is all based on what is raised this year so please, where you can, support the PTA with your voluntary contributions. Thank you to families who are continuing to bring pre-loved books into school for us to use in our classrooms. We have had nearly 1000 books donated, the staff and children are very grateful for this, please keep the donations coming!

Finally, we have our sports events coming up next half term, please find further information below. Have a good weekend! Mrs Payne

‘Did you know’……….

Recycling helps save energy.

If you recycle one glass bottle, it saves enough energy to light a 100-watt bulb for four hours, power a computer for 30 minutes, or a television for 20 minutes.

Recycling one aluminium can saves enough energy to run a 55-inch HDTV to watch your favourite movie.

Our School Eco Club Champions would like to share a ‘did you know’ with you ……………….
Please click HERE to access this week’s Learning Champions.

Last Friday, a group of children from Year 4 and Year 5 attended the Liverpool FC football festival, at the LFC academy in Kirby!

The children learnt all about the values of the Premier League before channelling them into a series of matches against schools from across Liverpool!
