English Literature

The key topics that will be covered in this classroom Checkpoint Assessment will be:  Students have been looking at industry and enterprise in Autumn 1 and their assessment will aim to look at how they and critically evaluate a product.  Students will demonstrate their design ability by producing designs for a product following a brief.  Students will be expected to demonstrate their ability to complete some maths related to area and volume as well as calculate percentages The key topics that will be covered in this classroom Checkpoint Assessment will be: This assessment will consist of FOUR questions based on an extract. Students will be given a modern extract to read and then 4 questions to answer in response to the extract. The questions will follow the Language Paper 1 format and will be as follows:  Question 1 – Listing information from the text (4 marks)  Question 2 – Analysing language from the text (8 marks)  Question 3 – Analysing structure from the text (8 marks)  Question 4 – Arguing point of view (20 marks) Students studied these questions in AUTUMN 1 and will no longer be studying this topic in Autumn 2 when the assessments take place.
