Book Worms Reading Newsletter – Spring 2 ‘If a child can’t read, they can’t get on in life. Welcome to the fourth (and very egg-cellent) edition of our Chapelford Reading Newsletter. This newsletter is brought to you by the Year 5 and 6 Reading Ambassadors. Keira, Jess and Betsy have worked really hard to bring you an exciting newsletter full of challenges, recommendations and information. What a busy half term it has been! Many books have been shared and enjoyed since we returned from the February break and we are so happy to see so many great reading percentages.

We wanted to share some of our fantastic reading displays and books from around school with you. As you can see, we have many displays around school that you can get books from and read. The school also has places you can sit and read such as in the corridor next to the fish tank or on the chairs with your teachers. You can also read in your classrooms, in the reading area on the bean bags or you can even take a book outside. A great option is to sit in the library and enjoy a good book. One of our favourite displays is the World Book Day display that has been produced following our celebrations back in March. We thought it was only right to make the wooden spoons the focus of the display as you all worked so hard on them! Can you spot yours?
