End of Spring 1 Reflection

Let’s reflect on this half term…

We continued to develop links with the community by raising a staggering £6,059.92 for St Rocco’s Hospice from our Elf and Reindeer sponsored run in December.

We continued to develop links with the community by hosting a Valentines Chocolate Bingo and our Reading Ambassadors had the chance to visit Arplemere and share their favourite books and stories with the residents.

Let’s reflect on this half term…

We developed relationships between our oldest and youngest children by setting up Year 6 and EYFS buddies! The children have loved sharing all about me activities with each other.

We further developed our love of reading by launching our New Golden Reading Rewards, enjoying an author visit and some year groups even earned some special VIP library time!

We looked after our physical and mental wellbeing by celebrating Children’s Mental Health week. We all took part in Skipping Ninja workshops to stay physically and mentally fit and some year groups created kindness bags for the residents!

..in RE and through performing arts with a Year 1 visit to the pantomime.

We further developed our knowledge of safety in order to contribute to society as responsible, respectful and active citizens. Year 2 and 5 took part in NSPCC workshops, Year 4 had a visit from Dr Farag for the Smart Heart talk and the whole school recognised Safer Internet Day.

We participated in extra-curricular activities through our extensive range of after-school clubs including Story book Craft club, Craft club and Disney club.
