More than 200 students joined the Youth St Vincent de Paul Society (SVP) this term, committing themselves to turning concern into action through service to others Their weekly meetings are already supporting local projects such as foodbank collections and visits to care homes Linked to this mission, our Harvest Appeal partnered with St Columba’s Church Food Bank, and we extend heartfelt thanks for the many generous donations received from families across the Carmel community

This half term also saw the return of Fun House Fridays, with popular quiz and bingo sessions led by Mrs Ryan in the library, bringing laughter and community to the end of each week

Isabella Hutton (Y7) achieved national dance success, placing 1st in Ballroom and 2nd in Latin at the UKA Premier Dance Festival in Blackpool

Emily (Y10) raised funds for Climb for Carl by organising a tombola to help install defibrillators on hiking routes in Donegal a remarkable act of compassion and initiative

Seb (Year 9) was crowned Retro Karting Junior TKM Champion 2025, demonstrating remarkable skill and composure across the championship.

Maggie (Y9) became a British National Champion in Irish Dance, winning both team and individual medals at the National Championships in Bolton

George Mair (Y11) represented England Football in international fixtures in Düsseldorf, wearing the number 1 shirt and performing outstandingly
