Kingswood Peak Venture information evening.

Kingswood Centres They are one of the most experienced providers of outdoor education in the UK. They were founded over 30 years ago and run over 1.2 million activity sessions each year. They welcome over 165,000 young people from more than 35 countries around the world annually.

Staffing Ratio: LA requirements, 1:7 activity + Bredbury staff, downtime 1:10.



Health & Safety: 10 minute H&S

Accommodation 

Peak Venture has standard dormitory style accommodation.  Rooms range from 4 to 12 bed dormitories, with genderseparated bathroom and shower facilities and party leader rooms close by. Sheets, duvets and pillows are provided for all guests

All activities will be outdoor so bring clothes to keep you warm and dry.  Waterproof Jacket and Trousers (Essential)  Outdoor shoes e.g. trainers and/or hiking boots  Swimming costume  Jumpers/sweatshirts/fleece (must be long sleeved for all activities)  Tee shirts  Socks and underwear  Long trousers e.g. tracksuit bottoms or leggings etc Nightwear  Toiletries bag (with toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, brush/comb etc)  Bath towel/hand towel  Sun hat/suncream/sun glasses  Large plastic bag for dirty clothes  Teddy

No jewellery must be worn or valuables to be taken on the visit including mobile phones, electronic games etc.

Sleeping arrangements : Children sleep in dormitories with teaching staff next door.



Kit list: provided today.



Electronic Games: No electronic equipment.



Activity Teams: Children take part in activities in groups of 10-15. They are supervised by 2 Kingswood activity staff and at least 1 member of Bredbury Staff.



Medicine: All parents complete a medical form 4 weeks before the trip. Medicine is administered by a member of staff.
