PE

Snack and Water Bottles

 Your child can bring in their own water bottle from home to keep in class.

 Only water for in class.

 20p per day for toast.

 £1 per week.

 Can be ordered daily, weekly or half termly.

Reading at Home

 Children will read daily to an adult during our Read Write Inc. sessions and once a week in class.

 Children will now be bringing books home to read. Please can you sign your child’s reading record and return these each day.

 Home reading books can also be accessed online from the Oxford Owl website.

 It is important for your child’s comprehension skills that they read books more than once.

Reading at Home

 Children will also bring home a ‘book to share’ each week, which they will choose from our class library. This book is not for the children to read, but to enjoy listening to and sharing with an adult.

 Please return this book to school each Monday so that it can be swapped with a different book.

Learning at Home

 At the beginning of each half term, children will get a booklet with work that can be completed at home if you wish. This is not homework.

 Children will have login details for Oxford Owl (to access their reading books); Language Angels for Spanish activities and Year 2 will also have logins for TTRS (Times Table RockStars) These will be sent home this week.

Any other information

• Please can we label all items of school uniform.

• Everyone in KS1 is entitled to a free school meal.

Class page

 Our class webpage will be regularly updated throughout each half term with information and photographs, so you can see all the exciting things your child has been learning.

 Our Curriculum map for the year and our learning for each half term can also be found on our class page.

If you have any concerns about your child’s time at school, please make an appointment to discuss this as soon as possible.

Many thanks for your support, Miss Rowat
