Our main themes for this half-term are ‘Values’, ‘Harvest’ and ‘Groovy Greeks’. Our English work will be linked to Greek Myths and there will be a focus on ‘Values’ in our RE lessons. In Maths, we will be developing our understanding of Number and Place Value, then moving onto Statistics. Year 4 children will be given two pieces of homework each week (one for spellings and one for times table) plus their daily reading folders. Attached to this letter is the Year 3 and 4 spelling list which we will be working from this year. There is also a multiplication square to support children with their times tables. Homework will be given out on a Wednesday and collected in on the following Monday: children will complete their homework at break times if it is not handed in on time. We would really appreciate your support in ensuring your child’s homework is returned on time. If you have any concerns regarding homework please do not hesitate to contact me.
