Welcome Back!
I hope you and your family had a well-rested Easter. It’s been fantastic to see all the pupils back safe and happy this week (and the good weather always too!).
Industrial Action
Over the Easter break the NEU announced two further days of Industrial Action (Thursday 27th April and Tuesday 2nd May). At this time I can confirm that, Bishop Martin WILL be open for ALL pupils on both of these days. If this situation changes I will contact you all again.
Boxing Reminder
Parents who requested places for the 12 week Boxing Club (starting tomorrow morning) with ABC Boxing have all been contacted this week confirming a place.
This club is being run by ABC Boxing, not Bishop Martin (I am just allowing use of the school site), so further communication about it, from tomorrow, should be direct with ABC Boxing.
The infant club will be at 10:00am and the junior club at 11:00am and both will last around an hour.
I hope the children who have signed up have a fantastic experience!
Mr Greenlees’ Fundraising!
Our Chair of Governors, Mr Greenlees, will be driving to Benidorm on Monday 1st May to raise money for ‘Busy Bees’, a charity that supports struggling families living at the resort.
He will be at Asda Skelmersdale tomorrow and Sunday with the car to raise awareness of his trip and all donations collected over the weekend will go towards Church Lads and Church Girls Brigade at Christ the Servant Church
If you’re down at Asda over the weekend and see him please make sure to say hello!
Spring Term Attendance Letters
Whole school attendance for the Spring Term was 92.8% which is a HUGE improvement compared to last year!
Attendance emails for pupils whose attendance was below 90% in the Spring Term went out this week. These are for your information only and to keep you fully updated on your child’s current attendance levels.
If school feels we need a further meeting with you in school to discuss your child’s attendance we will contact you directly.
Government Alert Testing
