For 2020-21 Bishop Martin has received the COVID-19 Catch-Up Grant. This is allocated to support school in implementing the Recovery Curriculum and ensuring rapid progress for the pupils identified as needing the most intense support.

Breakdown Additional Teaching Assistant recruited in Upper Key Stage 2 Teaching support provided to the most vulnerable pupils affected by the 2020 Lockdown

 Improving Progress in Reading for Lower Key Stage 2 and Key Stage 1

Funds allocated to the purchasing ‘Read, Write Inc. Phonics’  This intervention to be applied across Lower Key Stage 2  Appropriate Training to be given to staff in order to deliver effectively to pupils

COVID-19 Catch-Up Premium Outcomes  

Recovery Learning/Behaviour Learning attitudes have been kept to a high standard in Upper Key Stage 2 Pupils across Lower Key Stage 2 and Key Stage 1 have all shown good levels progress in English as part of the programme purchased and delivered

Monitoring The impact of this strategy will be monitored by the Senior Leadership Team. Impact may be affected by further Isolation/Lockdown periods in 2020-21 but the school’s robust approach to Remote Learning (COVID-19 Catch-Up Premium has NOT been spent on this area) established over the past 12 months will hopefully offset this.
