Art and Design The Art department consists of two specialist Art rooms and two full time members of staff; Mr McFarlane and Miss Ward. All students study Art at Key Stage 3 at least two lessons per fortnight. At the end of Year 9 Art is an option to study further at GCSE.

In the lower school students are introduced to a variety of drawing techniques and skills through a range of projects. Drawing is considered the foundation skill and students are encouraged to explore the medium in many different forms. Students then develop their work into other media areas such as painting, printmaking, sculpture and photography.
