Personal Development at Badsley Primary School


Year 2 had a visit from some special visitors! They enjoyed taking responsibilityfor them for the day!
Year 2 had a visit from local student nurses for some hands on learning about different careers. They also learned some first aid and how to make healthy choices.
Year 6 had enjoyed lots of different activities on careers week. They had a visit from a police officer, a college teacher and a sports instructor!
Year 6 had a fabulous time learninglife skills at Crucial Crew, includinghow to keep safe as a pedestrian and how the justice system works.
Year 6 enjoyed tasting different foods to enhance their learningjourney.
Year 6 had a fabulous outdoor learningsession with POPs.
Year 5 did some fantastic work as part of careers week and enjoyed hearing from a range of visitors who discussed their careers.
Year 5 have done some crucial learningabout first aid. Hopefully, it never has to be used but it is such a vital life skill!
Year 5 have had two fabulous outdoor learningsessions with POPs. They took their science lesson outside, as well as their learningabout Vikings!
Year 5 have enjoyed havinglessons from RUFC around healthy eating and movement! As part of their homework, they created some delicious healthy meals!
Year 5 have participated in some amazingextra-curricular activitiesthis year! They have visited the Space Centre, learned about being safe with social media, participated in an Easter Egg design competition and they have learned to play an instrument!What a busy year!
Our youngest children inFS2 have enjoyed watchingbutterflies grow during their time in Foundation. They enjoyed watching their fascinatinglife cycle.
FS2 really enjoyed celebrating Diwali in school. They loved learningabout celebrationsand traditions from anotherreligion.
F2 also enjoyed joining a Zoom meeting with ‘Farmer Mark’ who spoke about his job as a farmer. The children also had a virtual tour of the farm to see the lambsand other animals.
Foundation stage love to be outside, so they often take their learningoutdoors and enjoy weekly forest school sessions. What a fabulous learningexperience!
At Badsley, we commemorated the 80th anniversaryof the D-Day landings,We had a special assembly in school to learn more about the events and then we continued our learningin class.
Year 4 have also had a very busy year at Badsley! They have enjoyed their outdoor learningwith POPs, they have enjoyed participatingin whole-school competitionsand they have enjoyed dressing up for world book day. Anotherbusy year for Year 4 pupils!
