I wonder what he will find next?

Did you enjoy the story of Jack and the Beanstalk? Who was your favourite character? What was your favourite part of the story? We have two songs to enjoy this week I am the Golden Hen and We're Rich!

Explore Let's make some music.

We are going to make a soundtrack for the plant life cycle. A soundtrack is the background sounds or music that play when something is happening just like in a film. The picture has all the stages of a plant's life. Even Jack's beanstalk would have all of these stages! Added to all of this, the plant needs light from the sun and water. You can start anywhere on the picture because it goes around and around like the wheel of a bi cycle! Your first job is to explore your home. You are looking for objects that make sounds. Check with your adult that you are allowed to use them before you try t them out! Listen to the sounds that they make. D Do they remind you of a part of the lifecycle? A s shaky sound could be the seeds falling from the l flower. A twinkly sound could be the sun. You could use a piano like this one if you want to make the pitch go higher for the stem growing up, or lower for the roots growing down into the soil.

https://so.mi.do/virtual-piano-online/ Let's put all the objects out onto the floor. Have a look at the lifecycle again and see if you can play each object in turn as you follow the lifecycle around. If you have someone to help you, you could take it in turns to play each new stage of the lifecycle. You could have two sounds playing together. One person could make the twinkly sunshine sound, while the other person could play the piano to make the stem grow up.
