This week I would like to start with the video from last week (the alternative Naughty Bus story.

This will be our last week for Naughty bus.

Day 1: Today I would like us to think about Questions for the naughty bus. What does a question look like? What words might we use to begin our questions?

Use the sheet or write your questions for the naughty bus using the Questions starters: Where……..?

When…?

How……..?

Why….?

What……?

Did…..?

Can……?

Day 2: Creating a messy story map (large scale) On a table/carpet area or outdoor space, create a story map using a large piece of paper Take your bus on a journey drawing and labelling the places it visits.

Try to add describing words to the labels eg: Messy beans! Straight road, swishy grass - Talk your story!

Day 3/4: Use you story map to write your story try to use different starting words for your sentences.

Try to sequence the events in the story (if it helps add the sentence starters to your map.

Next he…

Then he …..

After that he….

Finally he ….

REMEMBER: Think about your sentences, say them aloud to check they make sense (and to hold them in your head), write them down, read them back.

Reading buddy or Books from home There are many reading books online for each age group if Reading Buddy is not available.

Have you read a book that you would recommend, tell others about it.

Reading is important Please try to read every day, even if it is only a couple of pages.

Set time aside each day to read and enjoy the reading games on Reading Buddy. Why not create your own reading den at home, make it cosy with toys and cushions and read for pleasure.

I am monitoring the site so please keep going with your reading each day.
