Home Learning Pack for Year 1 Week 9 Hi, I hope everyone is OK, feeling safe and healthy and you have had a good week. I am so impressed with the readers this week. I monitor the readers and send out certificates to those who have been reading using reading buddy. I know that sometimes there can be issues with using online learning so if you have been reading books at home and would like to receive certificates just send me an email with a message about what you have been reading. Remember there are now 9 units of learning on the website for Year 1. Have a look through the weeks to see what interests you. I know that the hour of code has been a popular lesson so I would encourage those who have not tried it to give it a go.

Day 4: What do you think about how the Author has written the words? sentences SEE WORKSHEETS ATTACHED using capital

letters and full stops.  Use appropria te spelling (use phonic clues to write unfamiliar words)

Target To design and build a vehicle to use in role play activity

Ideas Make a bus using a cardboard box Look at images online to see what details you need to include. Perhaps you could make it for one of your toys or if you have a big box, you could make a bus big enough for you to use!

Your bus will come in useful for next weeks learning.

Reading buddy or Books from home There are many reading books online for each age group if Reading Buddy is not available.

Have you read a book that you would recommend, tell others about it.

Reading is important Please try to read every day, even if it is only a couple of pages.

Set time aside each day to read and enjoy the reading games on Reading Buddy. Why not create your own reading den at home, make it cosy with toys and cushions and read for pleasure.

I am monitoring the site so please keep going with your reading each day.
