We had assemblies in the week showing the students where they can find online support for mental health.

Our year 11 wellbeing champions met the year 8s whilst having tea and coffee.

All students and staff where invited to wear an item of yellow for the day!

Our wellbeing staff served tea, coffee and biscuits for the students as they arrived in school.

What job do you do at Ashton?

I am the FTEC (Fixed term exclusion centre) Manager What did you do before you started at Ashton?

I worked in the Armed forces then spent the last 4 years working in secondary schools working in various roles eg support worker, PE instructor, mentor etc.

What are your first impressions of Ashton?

It is a great school, and the staff are very positive and welcoming. It is obvious at Ashton that there is a culture of developing young people into mature and civilised young adults, something I believe is very important.

How do you hope to help Ashton be an even better school?

I hope to help Ashton be an even better school by offering my skills and knowledge to motivate our students to reflect on their behaviour and make a positive change in their lives.

What book are you reading at the moment?

The Bogle- the blurb looks interesting!
