Reading Solutions UK have launched their Great North Reading Conference.

The conference takes place over the next three days and sign ups can pick and choose which sessions they want to join.

Tutor Trust has launched a specialist offer to Primary schools under the National Tutoring Programme. It is called 'Primary Progress - Puppies and Pirates'. They believe that 'catch-up' should be fun and stimulating for pupils, and hope this offer will go down really well with all Primaries.

The 'puppies' programme is 15 hours of English tutoring and the 'pirates' programme is 15 hours of Maths tutoring. It can be used with pupils in Year 5 and/or Year 6. The programme is available to all primaries with flexible delivery, children can access tutoring sessions face to face at school or online in school or at home.

Liverpool Heartbeat is a children's charity that hopes to inspire children to live healthy and productive lives.

Following what has been a difficult year for everyone Liverpool Heartbeat are running a FREE competition for all Liverpool City Region schools with an extra couple of prizes now available for Wigan and Warrington schools.

The theme of the competition is – Putting Art into the HeArt of Liverpool HeArtbeat.

Children can enter whatever makes their heart happy, for example a drawing, photograph (taken by the student), poem, song, story or painting.

Entrants have an opportunity to win a library of books for their schools and will each receive a unique one-off cover drawing from one of Marvel Comics top illustrators featuring the school and the winning student in super-heroic pose. LH also promises each child that takes part a sculpture trail map so everyone's a winner!

Feedback for the Y5/6 Chris Lubbe webinars have been really positive. We've had 12 schools signed up so far so if this is something your school would be interested in there are a handful of dates remaining.

The Early Career Framework (ECF) webinar, hosted by the DfE, on Friday, 12 March 2021 between 3-4pm, will give school leaders the opportunity to learn more about the Early Career Framework reforms.

The team will provide a background and overview of the ECF including a summary of changes to highlight how the current induction process will change in September 2021, how schools will be supported to make this transition and the options available to schools to conform to new statutory requirements.
