Great opportunites, savings, and support available to ALPSIT schools.

Great news! Your school is eligible to benefit from DfE-funded professional development through the Early Career Framework expansion programme this year, providing training and support to NQTs through a 1-year programme. The good news is that it starts this term.

There is still time to enrol your NQTs and their mentors. They are keen to ensure that as many schools as possible benefit from the programme. This is especially important with Initial teacher Training being curtailed in light of COVID-19 and associated school closure. It is easy to sign-up and “onboard” your teachers –all training and delivery is taken care of.

You can find out more about the programme and sign-up here. St John Bosco Teaching School Alliance will be your local delivery hub.

Education Development Trust’s experience in providing professional development, and dedication to evidence-led design, will ensure NQTs are armed with skills they can use in the classroom straight away. It will also provide the support needed to help them be the best teachers they can be during this period of change and disruption.

The National college have release a brand new essential CPD course today which supports CPD of teachers who are supporting remote learning. This course covers the core content you need to ensure you are delivering a structured approach to remote learning in line with key policy requirements.

Courses/CPD Available

Did you manage to attend the Paul Dix conference last year “When the Adults change everything changes” or have read his book? Well Pivotal are the company that has worked alongside him for many years. Paul no longer personally delivers training on this but Pivotal have taken over.

In partnership with the Ignite Teaching school we are proud to offer a small number of places for Licenced Pivotal Instructor Training (Level 1) which qualifies a behaviour expert in your school and allows them to be a pivotal trainer. The training is usually £2400 for two day intensive training but we can offer a small number of places at £1300 a place. The training will take place on 20th and 21st October in Ellesmere port (Covid regulations withstanding) .

Steam School x ALPSIT Our great partnership with Steam School continues this time with an extended offer to ALPSIT schools. The virtual academy is aimed at future inventors and entrepreneurs.

The Steam School programme helps schools to: 1. Connect their students with inspirational STEAM role models working for global brands and innovative startups via our weekly live broadcasts.

2. Deliver an online enrichment experience with minimal teacher team investment.

3. Enables students to explore STEAM challenges inspired by our weekly broadcasts to secure digital badge rewards. Teachers can monitor/celebrate participation, progress and achievement via our school dashboard.
