We have all made it to half-term whoop!

Lots to update you with this week. We will be moving the website to another host as part of our work developing a network system, we cant wait to share this all with you very soon.

Great opportunites, savings, and support available to ALPSIT schools.

The RSCM is continuing to produce support materials during the ongoing pandemic.

The latest offerings include new materials for primary schools.

Aware that the usual routines, including collective worship, are all on hold; but knowing how beneficial singing is to well-being. The RSCM’s Director, Hugh Morris, has produced two energetic, participative singing videos aimed at Key Stage 2 children, using existing material, including from Worship Workshop.

The first is on their YouTube channel here : https://www.youtube.com/watch? v=9D2NtEbgRx4do they hope you will share amongst your school contacts and help to brighten a child’s day.

Great opportunites, savings, and support available to ALPSIT schools.

The DfE is offering time-limited, school-toschool recovery support to schools and academy trusts, to help overcome the challenges faced or exacerbated as a result of the coronavirus (COVID-19).

Support will be in the form of dedicated time with an experienced system leader for up to 5 days. Additional support to schools facing particular challenges may also be provided.

Support will be tailored to the individual needs of the school or academy trust and could include a focus on: • support or planning with remote education • how to use catch-up funding to address gaps in knowledge • lost leadership capacity due to coronavirus (COVID-19) circumstances

Schools have started booking their sessions with Chris Lubbe following from our incredible HEADSPACE webinar. These sessions are aimed at year 5 and 6 and hope to inspire positivity and self belief.

The sessions will run for one hour and accessible to children in school and learning from home.

Don't miss this helpful webinar from Balance led by TeacherToolkit’s Ross McGill and Angel Solutions’ Ben Jackson. The pair will share how to use efficient point in time assessments using the Balance software.

Century Tech are preparing for their national Primary webinar event on 10th February 3:30 - 4:15pm - “KS2 Learning Through Technology” Primary school teachers and EdTech demonstrators will be presenting their experience of using technology for school improvement. As learning is set to head back into the classroom, this webinar will look at the support available to schools both now and in the future. They will be focusing on catch up and sharing the support that is available to you as primary schools.

Subjects will cover Identifying gaps in learning Recovery curriculum Revision for SATs & 11+ Homework Breakfast & After school clubs Diagnostic assessments Cover lessons and PPA Data-driven lesson planning Parent engagement The event is absolutely free and you can register at this link.

The Arts Organisation and Charity Foundation Amasing have numerous new exciting opportunities linked to their current project “Connect.” This project allows children using arts to connect with each other and share ideas and thoughts about the world they are growing up in the UK and abroad.

The project includes a Big Sing session that is set to include thousands of children with all resources provided free by the organisation.

Early Years Initial Teacher Training – introduction for Partners briefing was a great success with a huge turnout.

If you’d like to discuss how your school group can benefit from EYITT through having existing staff trained as an early years specialist teacher (Graduate Employment Based route), supporting a Graduate Entry trainee, hosting placements, hosting a regional EYITT group or promoting to feeder nurseries and pre-schools in your area please get in touch and we will assist you with this.

ALPSIT X Taskmaster The show will go on and we now have our first four volunteer school teams. Thank you to those putting themselves forward, hopefully we can put together a tournament that will include many more of you.
