How to inspire others to teach great Geography.

Exciting ways to engage colleagues and children in teaching and learning Geography, whilst still meeting the rigour, challenge and high level outcomes of the Geography National Curriculum.

Chris will share stunning stories, wonderful websites and show how to make the most of magnificent maps to develop a carefully worked out progression for high-quality geography which will "inspire in pupils a curiosity and fascination about the world and its people that will remain with them for the rest of their lives." She will help subject leaders and curriculum leads, build vocabulary and concepts, knowledge and skills, in simple manageable methods and take away the fear of fieldwork in your school. The result will be that children really understand the interaction of human and physical processes around us. Geography is our world and our future - we need our children (and teachers) to engage with their local environment and see how they can make a real difference to our world in the years ahead.

Here he shares a wide range of songs and games in a practical session for practitioners to take away. The workshop will also cover inclusive pedagogy, behaviour management, sequencing and planning, reading music, listening activities, singing technique, and more! Resources tailored to the Covid-restricted classroom, where singing and movement may be limited, will also be shared for your use.
