Level 3 Algebra and Decision is a bridging course from GCSE Mathematics to AS Mathematics. This course is offered to students who do not fulfil our entry criteria for AS Mathematics. Such students are required to study and successfully pass Level 3 Algebra and decision before progressing onto AS Mathematics for the following year.

Current government advice is capable students should acquire a Level 3 qualification in Mathematics. Level 3 Algebra and Decision is good preparation for AS Mathematics the following year.
Students will achieve two separate Level 3 Mathematics qualifications upon successful completion of this course. Level 3 Algebra is assessed by an end of year examination on a pass/fail basis. Level 3 Decision is assessed through coursework and an end of year examination. Students are graded from U to A in this qualification.
