Keen to motivate and inspire your NQTs at the beginning of their career through a bespoke and personalised approach? “Nationally, of teachers newly qualified over a 10-year period, approximately 12% left state funded schools within one year of joining while 28% had left within five years.” – National Audit Office, February 2016.
Programme Schedule and Application When: The programme will run over 7 sessions (3 full days, 4 half days) commencing 28th September 2018 and concluding in July 2019.
Building on five successful years of School Direct, Stockport Local Authority and Gatley Teaching School are pleased to present an offer that enables continued support and development in the first year of teaching, which aims to motivate and inspire teachers to invest in their careers, with a clear focus on pupil outcomes.
Where: Workshops will be delivered at Gatley Primary School, Hawthorn Road, Stockport SK8 4NB.
This partnership offer aims to develop NQTs, from a trainee to becoming an outstanding practitioner, using a research model to promote critical reflection on identified targets in partnership with their school.
Cost: £100 per NQT ( this includes mentor training and support) subsidised by Stockport LA and Gatley Teaching School. *Please note any Stockport school with an appointed Gatley Teaching School School Direct trainee will receive this offer free of charge.
This subsidised offer will enable NQTs to work on bespoke targets, in partnership with their mentors and other NQTs, using a lesson study approach in order to lead them to successful accreditation.
