NEWSLETTER WEEK ENDING 12th JANUARY 2018 WEDNESDAY WORD – NEW START HAPPY NEW YEAR Welcome back to the new term A few housekeeping reminders The school car park is out of bounds to both cars and pedestrians. Please do not walk your child/ren through the car park. All visitors to school during the school day please use the main entrance. Please ensure your child’s uniform / PE kits / Coats etc. have their names on. Outdoor coats should be blue or black. YEAR 4 ASSEMBLY - The Year 4 pupils from Classes 7 and 8 will be presenting their Reconciliation assembly next Friday 19th January at 9.10 am in the School hall. All parents and family members are very welcome. ROBINWOOD – Y6 PARENTS - All outstanding balance payments need to be sent into school by 29th January 2018. Please contact the office if you have any queries. The meeting for parents and pupils regarding the residential break will take place in school on Thursday 18 th January at 6.00 pm. Attendance is compulsory for pupils to attend the three day residential break. WATER BOTTLES - all pupils should have a water bottle in school that can be refilled as needed. Please note that water bottles will be taken to the playgrounds at lunchtimes in order to minimise the number of pupils needing to come inside during this time. KS2 PUPILS - will have access to the small field some lunchtimes - if you wish you may send in trainers or other footwear for your child to wear when playing on the field. COUNCIL AVENUE - Blue badge holders have always been and still are able to park on Council Avenue as per parking regulations. If you are not a blue badge permit holder please park away from school and do not bring your car onto Council Avenue. It is essential that we reduce the number of cars in order to ensure the safety of pupils and other pedestrians. We have been informed that the Bowling Green car parking area is likely to be locked and therefore unavailable to the public in the near future. RECEPTION PLACES SEPTEMBER 2018 The closing date for applications is 15th January 2018. Any application received after this date is deemed as a late application. COLD WEATHER We have asked the children to remember to bring hats, gloves and scarves to school so they keep warm when they are playing out at lunch and playtimes. MEDICATION - please note that no medication can be in school without a form being filled in at the office.
