Congratulations to all our children who have been busy bees learning spellings for our Spelling Bee. Last term, the children worked hard in class and at home and performed brilliantly - many prizes were won! The Spring 1 Spelling Bee will be during the week beginning 5th February. Our school website contains the lists and some helpful hints and tips for learning spellings. Good luck in Spring 1! Primary School Admissions The Local Authority deadline for Primary Admissions is Monday 15th January 2018, if you haven’t yet completed your application or know a friend who would like their child to attend Bishop Martin School, you can apply online at www.lancashire.gov.uk/schools or call 01772 532 190. If you need access to a computer, help or a printed version of the supplementary form please call in to the school office.
Please ask at the office for information on our Rise and Shine Breakfast Club and our 3.15 Club (afterschool childcare). Children can be in school from 8.00am until 5.45pm enabling parents and carers to work knowing their children are safe and happy. Free School Meals Apply now you may be entitled If you are not already in receipt of free school meals and think you may be entitled to them, you need to apply now, please contact LCC on 01772 531 809. Reminder – Y3 to Y6 Dinner Money School meals are £2.20 per day – £11.00 per week. This is payable at the office on Monday mornings. Daily Snack Y1 to Y6 children are able to order toast or fruit for their break. The cost is 20p a slice of toast or 20p a bag of fruit. This is payable in class on either a daily or weekly basis. Nursery and Reception children have a different snack every day and it is £1 per week payable in the class on Mondays
