This school continues to be blessed with its PTA. The school’s PTA has added an enormous amount of value to the facilities here. In recent years we have benefitted from the outdoor theatre, the adventure playground, the prayer garden, the annual strings project, annual contributions to the classroom budgets, helping to buy in the services of a counsellor, buying new blinds, to name but a few.

This year has seen two extra special gifts.

The PTA has paid to have the wireless network upgraded. In itself that is a much-needed and significant contribution to the school’s IT infrastructure, but it does not stop there. The school has just taken delivery of over 60 laptops which means that every child in a year group, during a lesson, will have access to a machine. It will make such a difference to their learning.

You can see them in the above pictures and all safely stored away and in the New Year, we will post photos of the

children using them to show how important this gift has been.

The organisation of the various events requires a lot of commitment from the PTA committee, ably led by Mrs Brigid Judson, and from all those who volunteer. Fortunately, with the participation and support of the entire school community they are successful.

Whether it is the committee’s drive as the organisers or yours as the contributors we are grateful for these unconditional acts of charity. Perhaps it is worth remembering the words of the Ofsted inspector who commented that the school community is caring and inclusive and that it feels like a family.

That is achieved by everyone’s contribution to the ethos of the school and our patron, Mary, Mother of Jesus.

Everyone should be justifiably proud of the commitment and dedication shown by the PTA. On behalf of everyone at the school, thank you for your support and a special thank you to the PTA committee.
