Pink Friday Just a quick note to let you know that, together, we raised an amazing £718.20 for Breast Cancer Care. Thank you so much to everyone for supporting this event.

Punctuality and Attendance

Children In Need RLA are again supporting Children In Need again. For a donation of £1.00, we would like all children to wear something spotty.

Parents have been asking about Pudsy.

We do not have any items for sale on site. However, Asda are currently stocking the official merchandise.

RLA Tracksuits All children from Reception toY6 will received their RLA tracksuit next week.

Children must attend RLA wearing their tracksuit on the day/s they have PE. Thank you for your cooperation.

Reception—Wednesday Y1-Wednesday Y2-Monday and Thursday Y3-Tuesday and Thursday Y4-Monday and Tuesday Y5– Monday (swimming) and Tuesday Y6-Monday and Tuesday

Please can we remind parent/carers that RLA starts at 8.55am and ends at 3.10 am for Reception and 3.15 for Y1 to Y6. Our gates are opened at 8.45am and closed at 8.55am.

Children who arrive after this time must enter via the office and are recorded as late. If you are late collecting your child (after 3.30pm) please collect them from the Y6 entrance. The Pupil Welfare Officer will then be contacted at 3.45pm for any children who have not yet been collected.

Special Needs Coffee Morning Due to our really successful coffee morning, Mrs Haley will be hosting our next SEN Coffee Morning on Wednesday, 15th November.

Outside agencies, including Headstart, CAMHS and our Educational Psychologist will be available to offer parents support and advice.

The event will start at 9.00am and refreshments will be provided. If you would like to attend please meet at the main office at 9.00am . We look forward to seeing you all.

Christmas Dates Further information for all of our Christmas events will be published on next Reporter and letters will be sent home over the next few weeks.

Year 6

Year 5 Remembrance Assembly

Connor Prue, an ex pupil, is working alongside Y6 to collate their ideas and designs for our Vision boards, which will be displayed around RLA. Connor will also be enhancing the art skills of our Y6 pupils which we are very grateful for. We are really looking forward to seeing our artist’s work and how it brings our Vision statement alive!

Y5 have been making lanterns for the Revoelution Light Festival. Which is being held at RLA on Friday, 17th November from 5.30pm until 8.00pm.

As well as the lantern parade, there will also be live music, face painting, crafts and food from around the world.

Everyone is very welcome to attend.

Thank you to our Y5 children for their very powerful and moving Remembrance Assembly.

Dot Week - This month is Diversity Month, which is focusing on developing our resilience, our ability to bounce forward when facing difficulties. As part of this we will be having a Dot Week next week.

The children will be reading the story ,'The Dot', by Peter H. Reynolds (it’s about a little boy who thinks he cannot draw and so 'just' makes a dot on his paper). The story follows the little boy’s journey exploring ways to make dots using different colours and techniques and how he never gives up trying to be better.

Cricket Tournament RLA was one of 5 Blackpool Primary schools to be invited to take part in the LCB "Fylde Coast Cup" indoor cricket competition.

The competition will take place for one afternoon for the next five months, with schools playing at least two games per afternoon. RLA performed excellently in both fixtures and the children's hard work in bowling overarm was evident in some really skillful bowling performances. Well done to Chloe, Jasmine, Lennox, Kane, Callum and Riyaadh.

As part of next week’s activities, each child will be creating and decorating their own dot which will form a display on our Resilience corridor. We will be doing lots of different activities around the ‘Dot’ which you will be able to see to school.

Children’s University Letters regarding the Children’s University will be sent home on Monday. To register your child, please compete the permission slip and return it to the office along with your £1.00 registration fee. If your child registered previously, they will automatically be registered for this year.
