RELIGIOUS EDUCATION   

How is Christmas celebrated in other countries by Christians? Should we celebrate special times in our lives? Multi-Faith Week (20th-24th November)

Geography 

P.S.H.E. We will be celebrating NOVEMBER DIVERSITY MONTH with a range of activities including:  Developing resilience  Promoting how to be a good friend.  Children in Need Day (17.11.17)  DOT Week

YEAR 4 Lighting up for Christmas!

We will be learning about Fair-trade and the origins of chocolate Finding out where fair trade countries are located Learning about the hemispheres and theequator.

Science 

We will be investigating electricity and appliances Creataing simple circuits and using the following equipment: switches; conductors and insulators.

Design and Techology We will be learning:  how to add circuits to a design  Investigating wooden structures  building Christmas decorations to sell at the Christmas Fayre.

How to help your child at home Please help your child by reading with them at least three times a week and asking them questions about their book. Please complete the English and maths homework each week. Please learn the spelling s that have been given. There will also be a homework task set that will be related to our study of Light .

COMPUTING Design and write programs in Scratch to create a Maths game. The children will develop an understanding of Digital Resilience through online safety work, in which they will investigate ‘What dangers are there on the internet?’
