Conducting market research about existing chocolate products. Choosing and designing products to sell at the Christmas Fayre for Business Enterprise.  Making products to be sold.

Year 2 Curriculum Map Autumn 2

Do you know the names and properties of materials? What happens when chocolate is heated? What are materials used for and why are they suitable? We will investigate which material is best to make a cup out of in order to keep chocolate warm!

 

Growing and Changing—considering how we change physically and mentally as we grow. Developing resilience as we move through life. Developing a Growth Mindset towards new challenges. Caring for the Environment— Keeping our school environment tidy, as fed back by our resilience group.

Music and Performance

Year 2 will lead our Christmas Nativity themed performance. Children will be acting, singing and dancing and we look forwards to seeing everyone at our final performances!

Why do Christians celebrate Christmas? What are the religious rituals at Christmas? Why do Christians celebrate worship?

 

November is Diversity month.  Multi-Faith Week  ‘Dot Week’ Resilience and Growth Mindset lessons to help children develop their skills when faced with a challenge. White Ribbon Movement to focus on kind hands. Children will share their learning in an assembly on the 30th November.
