Chewing Gum in School There have been a few incidents this week of chewing gum being found in school. Pupils are not allowed, under any circumstances, to bring chewing gum into school. We would ask that parents/carers support this policy at home and ensure that your child is not bringing chewing gum onto school grounds. Thank you for your support in this matter.

Join us for 'Despicable Me 2 Week'. Children are often unaware that they have a vision problem. Their vision may have always been that way so they accept it as “normal”. During the course of the next few weeks the School Health Team will be in school seeing the children from Reception class for Vision Screening. It is also recommended that children have regular eye tests at least once every two years. These tests can be done at a high street optician and are free for all children under 16 years old (and those under 19 years old in full-time education). Visiting the optician is just as important as visiting the dentist. Speak to your GP or health visitor if you have any concerns about your child's vision at any stage. Wearing glasses and seeing better is proven to improve school performance. That’s why it’s important children wear their prescribed glasses.
