Safety Notices Car Seats—We have noticed a number of children not legally being transported. The law requires all children travelling in the front or rear seat of any car, van or goods vehicle must use the correct child car seat until they are either 135 cm in height or 12 years old (which ever they reach first). After this they must use an adult seat belt. Packed Lunches—Please can we ask parents, especially of younger children, who have packed lunches to cut grapes/small cherry tomatoes lengthways so they can pass more easily through smaller throats and never widthways because they'll still be big enough to choke on. Please can parents also ensure that packed lunches do not contain sweets , energy or fizzy drinks . We currently have a small number of places in our

Nursery 2

Passwords — Please do not be offended if our staff don’t recognise or know you and ask you for your child’s password. Your child’s safety is paramount. Thank you

Nursery 2. If your child turned 3 before 31.08.17 and you would like a place in Nursery for your child, please contact the office or our Children’s Centre.

Year One The children in Year 1 have had a homework task of creating the Three Little Pig’s houses using various resources they have at home such as cardboard etc. The children have made some fantastic houses already and we are hoping to have a few more in soon! The children have been really enthusiastic about their projects and enjoy talking to their friends about how they made their houses.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and on Friday, 20th October , RLA will be taking part in Pink Friday. For a donation of £1.00, we would like everyone to wear something pink (boys may wear red if they don’t have anything pink!). There will also be cakes sales and raffles. Raffle tickets are currently on sale for 10p each. Parents are welcome to take part by wearing pink to drop off / collect children—you may even make it on to the front page of Reporter!!! Donations of cakes will be gratefully received. Thank you
