If your child seems unwell try ‘Calpol’ first and bring them into school. We will monitor them and contact you if necessary.

Contact Mrs Rowntree or Mrs Rolfe for advice if you are unsure whether your child should attend school.

Mrs Rowntree and Miss Lester can administer prescribed medication.

Please drop medication of at the Infant door and complete a consent form.

Notify the school if your child is unwell or has an appointment. Ensure you have informed the school of your child’s lunch choice.

Hot dinners • • •

All children eat the daily cooked school meals until the end of Year 2.

There is a menu in your pack– please discuss choices and ensure your child knows if they are having red, green or yellow.

There is no charge for hot dinners until the end of Year 2.

Birthdays • -

We want to help your child celebrate their birthday and this can be done by: Wearing a badge to tell everyone it’s a special day; Sitting on a special chair in Celebration Assembly; By giving out invitations for a birthday party;

The First Day • All children will start full-time on the first day, Tuesday 5th September; • Parents drop of and pick up from the Early Years Playground; • Parents are strongly discouraged from coming into the classrooms to ensure a quick start to learning in the morning; • We are very strict about releasing children at the end of the day – the MAP form is a key document;

Extra-Curricular • All children are encouraged to do at least 2 extra-curricular clubs each week; • Clubs run from 3.30 till 4.30pm daily; • There is a wide range of clubs to suit all interests and tastes; • Booking is done via the Online Booking System. We will show you how to use this during the classroom visits; • All Extra-Curricular Clubs are free of charge;

Breakfast & After school club • • • • • • •

Breakfast Club runs from 7.45am to 8.45am; Teatime Club runs from 3.30 to 6.00pm; These will be operated by the School from the Year 4 classrooms at the front; Bookings must be made 24 hours in advance via the Online Booking System; MAP information still applies for collection; Light breakfast and afternoon tea will be provided; This will be active from the start of term;

Parents’ Social Media Groups • These can be useful for keeping in touch with other parents and getting messages out quickly; • They are independent of the school; However: • Please do not comment on other children; • Please share concerns with us first – this ensures that we can deal with issues quickly and fairly;

Classroom visits 6th and 12th July 2017 • A choice of morning (9:30 – 10:30am) or afternoon sessions (2-3pm); • Meet at the Infant gate; • Bring your child into their classroom; • Time to get to know staf and children and the new classroom; • Tea and cofee is available for parents.
