St. John’s RC Primary School Weekly Update DATES FOR YOUR DIARY SEPTEMBER 25th - Loreto Roadshow for Yrs 4,5,&6 Parents welcome at 3pm OCTOBER 3rd - Spanish children arrive for the week
AHOY THERE! We were invaded by some true swashbucklers today when Year 1 and Year 2 learned how to speak, dress and act like pirates. They had a really fun day making costumes and using their creative skills in art, music and drama to make themselves very convincing (and scary!) pirates. OnTuesday, Fr McMahon came in to celebrate a mass themed around ‘New Beginnings’. The children sang beautifully and were very respectful throughout. We have all made a commitment to ‘Let our Lights Shine’ over the coming year. It was the first time I had heard St. John’s school choir this week and what a sound they make! We have been invited to be part of the Children in Need choir this year so will be practising over the coming weeks to get ourselves ready for our big performance. Have a lovely weekend and hope to see lots of you at the Autumn Fair on Sunday, Mrs B. O’Donoghue
