Actual Impact Over 100 children across the school participated in an after school club. Staff training enabled us to have a netball team which helped increase girls’ participation. This year the children have competed in netball, cricket, swimming and rounders competitions. Over 30 children have attended competitions against schools across Manchester. It has increased their confidence, determination and aspirations to improve. 96% of pupils achieved National Curriculum levels by the end of Summer 2017.
Staff feedback – confidence to deliver quality sessions, helping pupils outside their usual year group, promoting teamwork and self-esteem, motivating girls to have positive attitudes to a healthy lifestyle. Allowed us to cover a variety of sports as an after school clubs. It has Increased the number of activities in lessons which in turn has increased engagement, enjoyment and extended learning.
