“WELCOME BACK” We hope you had a good holiday UNIFORM - The children look very smart in their uniform. See class pictures on our website and twitter. Please remember to put your child’s name on all items. Coats should be blue or black. All uniform can be bought from your choice of retailer. Reminder- all boys should have short, none extreme hairstyles. No hair gel. Girls with long hair should always have their hair tied back. Please avoid large hair bows and ensure any scrunchies, bobbles or clips are in school colours. Thank you. NEWSTARTER CHILDREN – Started part time with us on Wednesday 6th September. We welcome them to the school community and the start of their learning journey with us. NEW CLASSROOM – The work is almost complete and the classroom is looking great! Thank you for your co-operation with entry and exit arrangements to school. NUT ALLERGY – We have a pupil with a severe nut allergy. We would be very grateful if you could assist us in becoming a nut free school. HOMEWORK ARRANGEMENTS – A letter has been sent home this week and homework has been sent tonight. YEAR 6 ASSEMBLY - (Year 6 pupils in Classes 10 and 11) will take place on Friday 15th September at 9:10 am in the school hall. Family and friends are invited to attend. “MONEY POCKETS” ENVELOPES – Over the next few days your child will bring home a pack of money pockets. We hope these are useful to you when sending money into school throughout the year. We feel the envelopes are a more secure way to send in any money to school i.e. toast money, trip money etc. WATER BOTTLES - Please remember to send your child in with a water bottle each day. EMERGENCY CONTACT DETAILS – Please inform the office if any of the emergency contact details for your child(ren) has changed. If you have changed your mobile number (the number used in the text messaging system) please ensure you tell the office also. MASS ATTENDANCE – We hope after the holidays that there will be more of our children at the 10.30 Mass at St Oswald’s. We look forward to seeing them at the Children’s Liturgy.
