A separate letter is being sent home tonight regarding the class structure for next year. Move-up day is Wednesday 5th July. Please ensure your child is in school on time so that they have the smoothest transition possible. Many thanks to the families who joined us to celebrate the Feast Day of St Peter & St Paul – there are photos on the website and the PTA Facebook page. Year 1 Class Worship assembly Wednesday 5th July at 2.30pm in the school hall. You are welcome to join us. DEBTS We are owed £4800.00 for school dinners, Breakfast Club and After School Club as well as outstanding money for residential trips or items purchased such as Christmas Cards. Please check your Parentpay account to see if you owe anything and if you have any queries, contact us. We expect all debts to be paid by the end of term in July. If you do not think that you can manage this, it is your responsibility to contact the office and set up a payment plan. If you have a child in Year 6, you will have to clear all outstanding debts before we can transfer their details to their High School; Mrs Phillips has a record of all money owed if you are unsure.
SOCIAL MEDIA I am aware that there have been several comments directly about the school on the Cathedral PTA Facebook site. May I remind you that airing comments on social media is not appropriate, nor productive, as it reflects badly and has a negative impact on the school, the children and the morale of our staff. The school tries its utmost to build a relationship between the teachers, the children and our parents, but negative comments only diminish the efforts made to build these relationships that the school tries so hard to build and maintain. More importantly, the use by any member of the school community to publicly humiliate another by inappropriate social network entry is cyber-bullying and will be treated as such. As always, I am keen to address any concerns that you may have and would be happy to speak with you individually if you are worried about an aspect of school life or your child’s education. A reminder that all our Breakfast/Afterschool Club sessions must be booked and paid for in advance. If sessions are not booked or you are incurring unpaid debts, we will call you to pick your child up.
SUMMER CLUBS We are hosting 2 weeks of sports clubs (see poster) and Mrs Copsey is running 2 weeks of fun club. The fun club can be booked by the day but we need a minimum of 12 children to make it viable. If you wish to ‘pay as you go’, please let us know so that we can book the spaces. Both clubs can be booked and paid for on ParentPay / through the school office. We will confirm that clubs are taking place before the end of term.
