Year 5 Koalas trip to the International Slavery Museum in Liverpool This week the Year 5 Koalas went on a trip to the International Slavery Museum in Liverpool. We had a great time learning about African Culture and gathered lots of information that links with our theme work ‘The Fight for Freedom’. We participated in an African music workshop were we learnt about different types of instruments and how they were made. We also enjoyed playing the various instruments and gave a fantastic class performance. Later in the afternoon we learnt about the art of Uli symbols, exploring their meanings and painting them using natural colours.
