Maths English

Place Value Counting to and across 100, forwards and backwards. Read and write numbers 1-100 in numerals and words. Begin to use language of equal to, greater than and less than to compare numbers. Represent numbers using objects and pictures. One more and one less. Number bonds to 20 and number problems including the four operations (addition/subtraction/multiplication and division.

Fiction: On the way Home by Jill Murphy: Short narratives, descriptions, suffixes (ed, and ing) and proper nouns. Non-Fiction: Fact files - Knights. Poetry: Reason poetry.

Science Animals Identify, describe, compare and name a variety of common animals including, fish, amphibians, reptiles, birds and mammals. Name and identify animals that are carnivores, herbivores and omnivores.
