Coats in School

Foundation Stone Fifty years ago today, Rt. Rev. Clifford Martin D.D. (Bishop of Liverpool, 1944-1965) laid the Foundation Stone of The Bishop Martin Junior and Infant Schools. Today all of our children will visit the stone on the Junior playground and begin to think about the history of our school and how we are going to celebrate our Golden Jubilee. We would love to hear from anyone who was there on that day!

Check out our website for further information about our celebrations and activities, as we head towards our 50th Birthday.

A high number of children are coming to school with no coat or jumper. The weather has been very cold/wet, despite some sunshine. Please ensure that your child has a coat with them every day. We will not be able to let children out at playtimes if the weather is cold/wet and they do not have a coat. Thank you.

Reading books As you know, we invested heavily in reading books this year to ensure that children have high quality books to take home. Unfortunately, many of our new junior (KS2) books have not been returned for quite some time. Please encourage your child to read regularly and return reading books to school.
