Some of the year 5 children visited Edge Hill University last week and took part in a number of activities including maths and music. The children thoroughly enjoyed their day and it was fantastic to hear them all talking about what they want to study when they go to university. It truly was an inspiring day. As always the children were a credit to our school and the staff at Edge Hill commented on how well behaved they all were. We hope to organise more events like this in the future.

School Environment We're sure that as parents you want to know that you are sending your child to a school with high standards and a clean, attractive environment. Can we ask everyone to be extra vigilant as there seems to be an increase in the amount of chewing gum spat out onto the paths into the school and around the entrances. Pupils are not allowed to bring chewing gum into school, so please check with your children before they leave each morning, if you know that they do use it. We would also appreciate it if anyone sees someone spitting chewing gum out onto school grounds that you inform a member of school staff so that we can make the appropriate challenge. Many thanks for your ongoing support.

Easter Celebrations Next Monday will be the start of our Easter Celebrations. We will be holding an Easter Eggsibition, raffles and competitions. Some of these will go on after the Holiday. A letter, with all the Details, has been circulated this week.

School Uniform Our school uniform supplier has increased the costs of the uniform from 1 st March. As we have some uniform in stock we will not increase our prices until 31 st May 2017. Please make sure all uniform, PE kits, coats etc. have your child’s name in to reduce the amount of losses.
