Lomeshaye Life Everyone in school is very busy at the moment as the end of the term is fast approaching. Pupils in all classes have been working hard on their art themes. We have been visited by Ed Foster—a local artist who has worked with pupils in Year 3, and Nicole our creative partner has been supporting Year 4 pupils with their learning through drama. Next week is ASSESSMENT WEEK for the whole school. This means that your children will be taking tests in Reading, Maths and Grammar, as well as completing writing tasks which teachers will use to assess how much progress everyone is making. This is a very important week and your child needs to be in school every day and wide awake so that they can do their very best in the exams. World Book Day—two weeks ago we had our wonderful World book Day celebration in school. Children and staff dressed up as book characters and looked amazing! Comic Relief—On Friday 24th March we will be fund-raising for Comic Relief. Mrs Malik and the school council are organizing the event. Red noses will be on sale from Monday 20th March during playtime, these cost £1. On Friday 24th March everyone can wear RED NON UNIFORM and bring £1 to donate to the charity. There will also be buns sold on Friday at a cost of 20p each. So dig deep and help out this fantastic charity which hopes to put an end to world poverty.
