Accessibility and Inclusion All children and young people are entitled to an education that enables them to: • achieve their best; • become confident individuals living fulfilling lives; and • make a successful transition into adulthood, whether into employment, further or higher education or training. (SEN Code of Practice 2014) OVERVIEW At Bishop Martin C. of E. Primary School we value the individuality of all of the children in our care. We are a mainstream school and we are committed to giving all of our children every opportunity to achieve the highest of standards. We do this by taking account of pupils’ varied life experiences and needs. We offer a broad and balanced curriculum and have high expectations for all children. The achievements, attitudes and well-being of all our children matter. We have good links with the School Nurse and other health professionals in the area who can provide support for your child and family. We have links with Educational Psychologists who can assist with the assessment and support of your child, should the need arise. We maintain a list of children with Additional Needs which may not fall into the SEND category and also a Medical Needs list. What the school provides Each class has the benefit of at least one Teaching Assistant for the majority of the school day. The school is split into an infant and junior building. The school is fully wheelchair accessible
