Thursday 22nd December 2016 Our News! We hope that you enjoyed the performances of A Wriggly Nativity. The children really enjoyed performing for you and we were all very proud of them. Thank you to all of the children and their families who were able to attend the carol service at Rossall Chapel last night. It was a lovely celebration to bring their first term at school to a close. Once again the children sang their little hearts out! Today the children had a fabulous time with the entertainer at their Christmas party. Look on the Ducklings class page of the school website for the photographs. They were also very lucky to receive a visit from Santa. During this time they gave him their letters. He also brought the class a lovely present to share together. We hope that by now the Christmas cards that the children have made and posted to you have arrived!! We have sent the children home with a couple of reading books each to practise while they are off. They don’t need to read a whole book at a time, but little and often. They have also brought home some cursive handwriting sheets (with the rest of the letters we have been learning on) for the children to practise and return to school when they are completed. Please keep using the flash cards that have been previously sent home to reinforce the sounds that they have been learning, so that they don’t forget them! Practise reading words that you have made for them and ask them to make words using the letters.
