A few tickets still available 20th Dec – Christmas party day. 21st Dec - KS2 Carol Service at All Saints 10am—11am 21st Dec—RLA school closes for Christmas at normal times. 5th Jan 2017—RLA reopens at 8.45am Reindeer Dash—Thank you to everyone who supported our Reindeer Dash last Friday. The children, and staff, had a great time in their conga line. RLA raised over £483.51 for Trinity Hospice. Thank you for your donations and sponsorship money. A very special mention to Joe who raised £125. Well done super star. Christmas Fair— Our Christmas Fair was a huge success. Thank you to all our classes for their enterprise stalls, our staff for giving up their time and to everyone who attended. The amount raised was £693.52 - this does not include the money raised by our year groups for their Business Enterprise The money will be used to support further school events, for example family social nights, costumes and end of year productions. Parents, please ensure your child attends in the correct uniform, including sensible black shoes, not trainers. If you can provide supporting medical evidence, we will consider a suitable alternative. What’s on in January—Toddler yoga with J’adore Mama will start on Thursday, 12th January from 2.00pm—3.00pm for 5 weeks. This is suitable for babies who can crawl up to 2 years of age. No previous yoga experience is required as this is very gentle and focuses on baby’s stimulation and development, strength and reflexes whilst adding music and sensory items. This is a fun session for mum and baby ending with relaxation. English course—Do you want to: improve your English Skills? Help your children with their homework? Our Year 5 and 6 indoor athletics squad competed in the Blackpool Schools Indoor Athletics event at Blackpool Sports Centre this week. The children took part in running, jumping and throwing activities. The team performed admirably and there were some excellent individual performances. RLA came sixth out of nine schools. Many of the squad were representing RLA in a sporting event for the first time and really enjoyed the experience. A big thank you to all parents and carers who supported the team. Well done to Jodie, Jasmine, Zinia, Isabelle, Jake, Tyler C – M, Luke, Ellis, Kane and Tyler H.

The new course starts on Monday 9th January 2017 from 1.00pm—3.00pm in our Children’s Centre Breakfast Club—Breakfast Cafe is open to the families of Nursery and Reception Children. ( This may include younger or older siblings) Breakfast is available between 8.15 & 8.45am.,Monday to Friday during term time. Activities are available throughout the session and all children must be supervised by their parent/carer at all times .

Clothes donations

Thank you for your donations of clothing. We collected 74kg of recycled clothing and raised £29.50 for our school and £7.40 for the Starlight charity for serious and terminally ill children. Further collections will be held on Thursday 6th April and Tuesday 27th June. The recycling bags will be sent home 1—2 weeks before.
