25th November 2016 During the first two weeks of Advent we are looking forward to Christ coming – not as a baby, but at the end of time, in glory. Belief to “Parousia” was one of the sustaining features of the early Church, which lived in daily expectation of its occurrence. In our times, although we are told “you do not know the day”, our anticipation is less urgent. Nonetheless, when it does occur, there will be no chance of our missing out – “All things will be brought together in him.” Wish us luck at the school awards ceremony on Wednesday, where we have been shortisted for the Primary School of the Year award and Mrs McLaughlin has been shortlisted as Unsung Hero .Award.
