Luke 21:5-19 Today we are assured that the Holy Spirit will speak through us whenever we are witnessing to him. Yet often our words can seem to die in the air, unheard, unacknowledged. At times like this it is as well to remember that the Spirit works in the ear of the listener as well. Just as beauty is in the eye of the beholder, so the message of the Spirit can overcome any obstacle, if the ear is open to hear it.
Class Christmas Hamper If you haven’t already signed up for the class hampers please do so ASAP, there is a sheet outside each classroom where you can put your name. We are now collecting items. If you are happy for children to sign up on your behalf, we will allow this next week As the weather is becoming colder please make sure the children have appropriate clothes in school i.e. warm coats, hats, gloves and scarves. Please label these. Book Fair Thank you to everyone that has purchased items from our Book Fair, we raised an amazing total of £1200, which means that each class now gets £100 each to spend on books.
PTA Own Clothes Days We have 3 Own Clothes Days coming up in preparation for the Christmas Fayre. Friday 18th November, donation – teddies etc. Friday 25th November, donation – chocs/ sweets Friday 2nd December, donation - Bottles
Attendance The minimum attendance level which is expected at our school is 95% This week’s class’s attendances are: Reception – 96.7% Year1 – 95.9% Year 2 – 95.7% Year 3 – 95.3% Year 4 – 98.4% Year 5 – 95.4% Year 6 – 97.6%
Well done to YearFund, the Diocese have paid From the Building £2500 to have the school hall floor sanded, sealed and varnished. Thank you all for your support in contributing to the Diocesan Levy in order to be able to have this work done. PTA Disco Monday 14th November is our Autumn Disco (optional fancy dress). Reception and key Stage 1- 5:30-6:30 Key Stage 2- 6:45-8:00 The cost is £2 and includes a drink and a snack. You can pay on the night or via ParentPay. Class Worship This week’s Class Worship will be the turn of Year 5. Please come along and join us in the Hall at 2:40pm.
