Feedback: Two professional speakers from Pendleside Hospice attended the Pink Party to explain about self examination and early signs of cancer. Ladies wore a pink item of clothing to show their support and paid £1 entry fee. A very informative and positive session enjoyed by all. The ladies that attended found the information given by the professionals very useful and easy to understand. They were also provided with leaflets to read at home. Some of the suggestions for future were:  The speakers from the Pendleside Hospice could have a presentation to show for the parents/attendees who couldn’t understand English.  To have post it notes to ask questions anonymously as they felt that they couldn’t ask in front of everyone even though the speakers and WOW group members were there to explain individually.  They suggested to the speakers to have somewhere to go and talk to some attendees whilst they wait for the results from a test as this is a difficult period.  Future workshops Following on from the feedback, the WOW group will arrange health related workshops that will be beneficial to the ladies and their families. Mrs Safdar spoke with the professional and will arrange for ‘How to deal with incontinence’ workshop in the New Year. Refreshments were provided and we raised a total of £ .The WOW group has decided to donate £100 towards Pendleside Hospice/Breast Cancer? from money they had raised previously from a fashion show done in aid of charity work.
